Sun City Anthem deserves a leadership team grounded in integrity and a commitment to "community-first" governance. My campaign focuses on transforming the way our HOA operates, rooted in three essential pillars that aim to create a more open, equitable, and vibrant community for every homeowner.

Transparency: Making Governance Open and Accessible

Homeowners deserve an HOA Board that is committed to open communication, clear decision-making, and easy access to important information. If elected, I propose the following changes to enhance transparency:

  • Eliminating Unnecessary Closed-Door Meetings: Closed sessions should only occur when explicitly required. No more backroom decisions without homeowner oversight.

  • Empowering Homeowners with Full Access: Homeowners should be able to easily access financial data that gives a clear and comprehensible picture of where ALL our dollars are going. Transparency fosters trust, and trust builds a stronger community.

  • Building Open Channels of Communication: From community-wide email updates to engaging Q&A sessions, I believe every board candidate should pledge to personally ensure that homeowners know the basis for board decisions and have a meaningful way to participate as they choose.

Transparency is about removing barriers that obscure accountability. It’s about creating a the Board that exercises its power always and only in the best interests of the common good.

Accountability: Upholding Responsible Governance

Governance is not about personal agendas or benefiting a select few; it must serve every homeowner equally. Accountability in leadership means ensuring that the Board works solely in the homeowners’ best interests. Here is how I aim to bring real accountability to Sun City Anthem:

  • Neutral Dispute Resolution: I am committed to ensuring that community disputes are handled fairly and without bias, avoiding costly and unnecessary third-party interference.

  • Fiscally Responsible Decisions: We must maximize volunteer opportunities where available, reducing over-reliance on paid staff and contractors. Every dollar should benefit homeowners, not arbitrary initiatives.

  • Prioritizing Owner Oversight: By implementing checks and balances, I propose providing systematic safeguards that protect the interests of all homeowners from potential mismanagement or undue interference by rogue attorneys.

Accountability isn’t just policy; it’s a promise to every Sun City Anthem resident that your HOA board works for you, not above you.

A Vision for Self-Management and Community Empowerment

It’s time to take our community back. Sun City Anthem isn’t a business; it’s a nonprofit mutual-benefit corporation. Every policy implemented, every dollar spent, should serve only the interests of homeowners. But right now, the system isn’t working as it should.

  • Redistributing Power: Decision-making must rest in the hands of the homeowners, not a small, unaccountable leadership group. We need oversight mechanisms to hold every action of the HOA Board to the highest standards of fairness.

  • Ending Hidden Agendas: No more “business-as-usual” secrecy. Every homeowner deserves clear and honest governance that prioritizes transparency at every level.

  • Collaborative Change: Whether or not I’m elected to serve, I pledge to work with other Board members and the broader community to implement impactful policies that reflect the values of Sun City Anthem homeowners.

Closing Statement

Leadership isn’t about clinging to the shadows of the past. It’s about building a practical future all residents can be proud to call their own. My experience uniquely positions me to make meaningful changes that promote transparency, protect homeowners, and foster owner control of our community resources.

If you share this vision for Sun City Anthem, I invite you to join me to encourage all the board candidates, in exchange for your vote, to commit to total transparency in discussion and action except for the four specific topics where closed meetings are authorized. Together, we can create an HOA board that listens, learns, and leads with integrity.
